Lovey the Clown face paints for Gwinnett Chapter of Arthritis Foundation in Dacula Georgia

Magic Ladder Entertainment sends it's favorite clown to face paint at the Gwinnett Chapter Arthritis Foundation Walk in Dacula, Georgia. Lovey the clown's favorite part of the Gwinnett Arthritis walk was meeting her new friend Paige. The two new friends had to create and face paint a flower design moments before Paige took the stage to give a speech to the enormous crowd that gathered for the walk bright and early Saturday morning. Paige spoke eloquently regarding the challenges of Juvenile Arthritis while Lovey the Clown sent her love and confidence from the audience. Lovey's favorite part of the day was Paige's hug when she came down from the stage! and face painting the young star, of course.

There were so many memorable moments throughout the morning, dancing with the girls as American Idol Star, Diana Digarmo sang favorite songs. Gabbie, who was afraid of clowns, until she met Lovey! Was Lovey ever surprised to turn around and see Gabbie waiting in line to be face painted. Gabbie is extremely creative and decided she wanted to be painted like a fire star, together the two created an incredible design that got a great big "Wow" from Miss Gabbie! Another highlight of the day was the artist mom, who assisted Lovey in creating an Eagle design on her daughter's face. It was awesome! Thanks mom. The staff could not have been more accomodating and gracious. Lovey the Clown felt like a star all day! Lovey the Clown is so grateful to Lisa Bielstein, who organized the Gwinnett Arthritis Walk. What an awesome lady! Oh yes, Lovey the clown also had the good fortune to clown with Pizza and Nifty. Such kind, generous clowns. Santa Rusty got his groove on to the smooth vocals of Diana Digarmo.

It was a perfect day for clowning and walking for the awareness of Arthritis. It can effect anyone at any age! Luckily, there are Doctor's like Doctor Lawrence, who fights the battle with her patients. Dr. Lawrence' daughter, Shirley seemed to thoroughly enjoy hanging out with Lovey the Clown throughout the day. Shirley pretended she was at the spa each time she got her face painted. By the end of the day, Shirley's little sister allowed Lovey the Clown to paint hearts all over her face. What a perfect ending to a perfect day!

Barefoot in the Park

Thanks to everyone who joined Magic Ladder Entertainment, Lovey the Clown, Fan E. Tastic the face painter and Twinklz the Clown last weekend at Barefoot in the Park in the beautiful City of Duluth, Georgia.

I think the entire weekend served us with some powerful lessons on expectations, the art of being in the moment, valuing our service and talent and the necessity of pacing ourselves when we end a day at a festival with birthday party celebrations. We were blessed with perfect weather, even though the entire week we had heard predictions of rain. We all believe that we create our own reality. We prayed for beautiful weather and that's what we got. We also learned the value of blinging out our work area. We got tons of complements on our entertaining colorful stage that we created for Lovey, Twinklz, and Fan E. Tastic to perform in.

It was the first time that Lovey, Twinklz and Fan E. Tastic had ever worked an event together even though we are all crazy about each other and paint together at jams, and workshops all the time. This is where the lesson about expectations came to all of us. We had anticipated every aspect of the event all week long. Were we surprised when we found out that our "pay per face" vendor location was to be set up right outside the Children's Park where there were tons of "free" activities. Yes, "free" face painting, airbrush and temporary sticker tattoos.

Our first customer of this glorious morning greeted us with much disatisfaction and a raised voiced protest to our charging for face painting since the event web site stated the face painting was free! What on earth do we do? Well, I did the only thing I knew to do, as President of Magic Ladder Entertainment, Lovey the Clown painted the sweet child for "free". It wasn't full face and I don't do cheek art well at all! All I wanted was to make that little one smile and that is exactly what I did. They were both happy with the outcome and so was I. Sometimes we have to remember that we do what we do because we love it. And it's better not to have someone upset. The final result was that the mom found out the free stuff was inside the tent and came back late that afternoon to apologize.

That was the only conflict of the entire two day event and I truly believe it is because Lovey the Clown handled the situation with grace and dignity for Magic Ladder Entertainment and for that little boy and his mom! Now, about pacing ourselves, Lovey the Clown, Twinklz the Clown and Fan E. Tastic the Face Painter are working at staying hydrated and having their snackerel like they are supposed to. Lovey took time to snack and hydrate on the way to the birthday party and therefore did a fine job at Andrew and Anthony's house. Fan E. Tastic was left by herself to finish out the festival because both Lovey the Clown and Twinklz the Clown had to leave early to attend birthday parties in Atlanta. Aren't we lucky to stay so busy and for families to allow us to come into their homes to entertain family and friends! Fan E. Tastic had an enormous line for three hours, made lots of new friends.
